• Founded in 1974 by Sanrasern Chanyongpand, a founder of Asia Lamp Industry Co.,Ltd. with a joint- venture with GTE Sylvania from the U.S., Asia Lamp is one of leading luorescent lamp manufacturers in Thailand with a fully paid registered capital of 70,000,000 baht.
• Started to export the products worldwide since established, Asia Lamp has been granted promotional privileges under the investment promotion Act B.E.2520 from the Board of investment of Thailand in the same year of its commencement
• In 1980 Asia Lamp has separated from GTE Sylvania and two years later Asia Lamp has a technology corperation with CE, Taiwan and started the T9 and 10W T8 lamps production. Moreover, Asia Lamp has a technology assistances from Crompton Lighting, UK and has been granted a license to produce and sell lamps under Crompton brand worldwide
• In 1983, T10 lamp Production was established and in 1984 the circline lamps production was initiated for export market
• In 1986, Asia Lamp has expanded the business and increased the production capacity in order to coup with the market demand and in 1988 Asia Lamp had produced U Type lamps for the US. Market. In the following year, the production of 5 Feet, 65 wattages was also added into the product range
• In 1993 with the agreement and corporation with EGAT( Energy generated authority of Thailand), Asia Lamp has started the production of T8 lamps: 18w and 36w in order to enhance the usage of the energy saving lamps for local market
• In 2006, T5 lamps production have been established from the ustomers’requests and from the energy saving mindset, the irst version of T5 HE was launched from Asia Lamp’s factory into the market
• In 2008 Asia Lamp has expanded its business into other lighting energy saving products such as compact fluorescent lamps, luminaires-SLS sets, Electronic ballasts; etc. With an environmental and global warming awareness, Asia Lamp has also launched its products such as low mercury version lamps which are compliant with RoHS and TCLPTCLP
• Asia Lamp not only produces the products under its own brand names: “Silver Light” and “Alico”, but also accepts to produce under original equipment manufacturer (OEM) brands
